Random Musings on Current Events 4.3.2026 for Good Friday

Once again it is time for some Random Musings On Current Events from the mind of a quiet, unassuming (at least in my own opinion) person observing the ramblings, rumblings, rants, raves and revelations in the media from behind the front lines of a purple state. I present these ramblings, rumblings, rants, revelations and gratitude’s in a sort of stream of conscious journal format and, yes, there may be some sarcasm thrown in.

Another week has gone by and the war for space in my head continues to rage. On one side I have those who are vehemently opposed to the President for whatever reason it may be, another side those who are vehemently in favor of the President no matter what he does, another side includes those who are saying nothing but typically have plenty to say, another side consists of what I have to deal with every day to make a living, and of course there is the side of me that strives to be Christian in my actions not just in faith and in words.

So, I will start out by acknowledging that today is Good Friday of the Holy Week and that this commemorates the Friday or Passover that Jesus Christ was crucified by the Roman’s of Jerusalem at the behest of the Jewish Pharisees and Sadducees. Men who ostensibly saw Jesus of Nazareth as a threat to their temporal power base only because there is no way, in my opinion,  they had any spiritual currency in heaven that the Nazarene threatened. The Pharisees, Sadducees and Romans were nothing more than thugs who wielded threats, fear, and nothing more. What I find interesting, though it comes as no surprise, that the moral descendants of these men and women still roam and still seem to firmly hold the reigns of temporal powers on earth. What can I do but pray for them and move on.

Following up on last weeks comment regarding the price of oil being set by the British and Brent Crude oil pricing it seems that West Texas Intermediate oil has now surpassed Brent Crude in price. Evidently, this because oil from the United States can still be pumped and delivered whereas British crude cannot. Speaking of which, how come North Sea oil is not able to replace the loss of crude delivered through the Strait of Hormuz? Is because there is not enough capacity, the British and Europeans have relied on their bully boy (the United States) for so long that they no longer have the ability to project power, is it because they cannot rape the Russians for her energy or any number of self sabotaging actions over the preceding decades that have led to this moment? Yes, I am paying more for fuel but at least the money is being spent to producers in the United States and not being sent to self serving pompous perfumed princesses in London, Brussels or Riyadh. Now, I just hope the administration stays out of the way of the alternate energy industry in addition to allowing the fossil fuel industry to flourish. We have a golden opportunity for innovation as a result of necessity.

Pam Bondi is no longer the Attorney General of the United States and, of course, we will probably never really know why. I can speculate it is because her Department of Justice (DOJ) was not aggressive enough pursuing the release of the Epstein Files, the perpetrators of the Ukraine hoax against the President, and or any number of referrals out of Congress. What I can hope and pray for is that under the next Attorney General the DOJ will be more aggressive and at least make an attempt to balance the scales of Justicia.

General Randy A. George is out as the Army Chief of Staff and I sit back trying to make sense out of all the chatter around his forced early retirement and the manner in which it happened. First, the President has every right to fire a Chief of Staff in his duties as the Commander in Chief. There need not be anything more said. It happens and it will not be the last time it happens and all one has to do is ask the ghost of General Douglas MacArthur while the Korean War was raging. So all of this chatter about letting him go in the midst of military operations is bunk and noise. It happens so grow up and realize that this President, whether you like it or not has his own agenda, and is within his rights to fire and hire in the military within prescribed limits. Secondly, I learned that General George oversaw the reduction of the US Merchant Marine Preposition Forces, the reduction of Engineering units across the Army and Navy, and the Merchant Marines, and US Army watercraft funding. Considering the previous administration’s attitude towards the military and that General George stayed in the military and quite possibly made rank it would not surprise me if this is true. Regardless, he did not stand up to the Biden Administration’s unlawful COVID injection mandates and so it is really difficult for me to feel sorry for him or the other Generals who were fired this week if only for the COVID issue alone.

Lastly, the Conservative Constitutionalist would like wish everyone a blessed Good Friday, Holy Saturday and most especially Easter.

God bless America and all her citizens and residents, no matter whether they are enemies, not enemies or somewhere between. Additionally, forgive me for my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me.
