Random Musing on Current Events 4.18.2026

Once again, it is time for some Random Musings On Current Events from the mind of a quiet, unassuming (at least in my own opinion) person observing the ramblings, rumblings, rants, raves and revelations in the media from behind the front lines of a purple state. I present these ramblings, rumblings, rants, revelations and gratitude’s in a sort of stream of conscious journal format and, yes, there may be some sarcasm thrown in.

I had planned to type this up the day after the successful completion of Artemis 2’s mission splashdown off he coast of San Diego. It was awesome to watch with amazement and pride as an American to watch and understand the precision that went into the mission. I can vaguely remember the last Apollo mission and of course, as a child, I watched the first Space Shuttle launches and returns. Of course, I also remember vividly both Space Shuttle tragedies. I will admit that while others in my age group dreamed of being like Mike or making it into the Big Leagues one of my dreams was to go into space. Like most of us, a dream that never bore fruit for various reasons, the least of which is not being physically qualified or able. Regardless, all congratulations go out to the Artemis crew, ground crews, engineering staff, manufacturers supporting the mission and their families.

Now, moving half a world away when I started this post the first round of talks between the US and Iran ended with no agreement. In response the US had declared a blockade on all Iranian ports and shipping coming in or out of these ports. On top of this the Pope and President Trump were at odds as is NATO and President Trump. Then I learn of the Liberal World Order and I cannot help but wonder if the Pope and NATO are one in the same in supporting this Liberal World Order as the European elites have worked hand in hand with Rome throughout history. Sure, Pope Leo is American by birth but he has long since sworn his fealty to The Vatican and I must remember to keep that in mind when reading the news and in the back of my mind I cannot help but wonder who might be orchestrating the anti-Trump media blitz.

On the other hand I read all sorts of information being pushed about President Trump being beholden to Israel and there is no doubt that he has some close ties to Israel especially through his son in law Jarred Kushner, going back to working in what was Italian Mafia controlled New York City when he was younger, and who knows who with the Jewish Mafia that might or might not have bailed him out after one of his bankruptcies. Evidently President Trump’s daughter has converted to Judaism and rumors that President Trump has as well if he ever had a spiritual base to begin with. Sure, I am uncomfortable with this and it is something that I have to keep an eye out for. One thing, however, I will say so far is the restraint that is being shown in not bombing the majority of Iran’s basic infrastructure is commendable. Another observation at least for today is the price of oil did not jumping quite as fast as I would have thought with the announcing of the US blockade of Iran.

Now, a week later, it appears that peace is about to break out in the Middle East yet again with negotiations underway. I do have to say that the price of oil is settling down a bit with West Texas Intermediate trading at $83.85 per barrel. I will not even mention Brent Crude price, which is higher because, to me, I cannot understand how the price of oil is determined by a group of entities that will not even allow the country that they are based in to develop their own oil. Therefore it should be irrelevant what they price oil at.

Of course, as if on time, reports are coming out of the Middle East that the IRGC and the US are still keeping tankers from transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Who is to blame for this? Who knows. Could it be elements in Iran that have nothing to do with the dealing that are responsible? Could be and I understand why I do not know but one thing for certain is Iran and the conflict is still a very fluid situation and elements within Iran are not interested in giving up their power which is not a big surprise to me. On top of that Keir Starmer and Emanuel Macron are supposedly spearheading a push to establish the peace in the Persian Gulf so the fact that elements of the IRGC are shutting the Hormuz again does not surprise me. In fact, I would not be surprised if Macron and Starmer are not somehow behind the events of the day considering how much of a threat to their power and rules based order the Americans represent. Shoot even Saudi Arabia buckled after Keir Starmer visited the kingdom. If one has any doubt about the power of London and Paris all one has to do is look at the Ukraine and how London has repeatedly torpedoed peace deals there.

Moving on to the looming midterm elections in my country I personally have to prepare for the fact that the Republican Party is still too fractured and or unwilling to mount any sort of reasonable campaign to keep control of either house of Congress. The ballot rigging is not being addressed and the requirement to ensure only US Citizens vote is not being addressed. It is so obvious that even many Republicans are benefiting from the ballot cheating and will not cut themselves off from the gravy train. They should be ashamed of themselves for not putting country over themselves but I wonder if many even have the capacity to be ashamed. I have heard it said that sociopaths tend to gravitate toward power centers and will do whatever it takes to gain and remain in power and it certainly seems to be the case in Washington DC.

Now, I could and probably should expound much more on the points that have rambled on about in the post but it is Spring and I have work to do. Actual physical labor tasks that help keep me from going crazy and losing focus as many in the media and the hall of power want me to do. They want me to focus on what they tell me to focus on instead of what I know that I need to focus on.

God bless America and all her citizens and residents, no matter whether they are enemies, not enemies or somewhere between. Additionally, forgive me for my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me.

Random Musings on Current Events 4.3.2026 for Good Friday

Once again it is time for some Random Musings On Current Events from the mind of a quiet, unassuming (at least in my own opinion) person observing the ramblings, rumblings, rants, raves and revelations in the media from behind the front lines of a purple state. I present these ramblings, rumblings, rants, revelations and gratitude’s in a sort of stream of conscious journal format and, yes, there may be some sarcasm thrown in.

Another week has gone by and the war for space in my head continues to rage. On one side I have those who are vehemently opposed to the President for whatever reason it may be, another side those who are vehemently in favor of the President no matter what he does, another side includes those who are saying nothing but typically have plenty to say, another side consists of what I have to deal with every day to make a living, and of course there is the side of me that strives to be Christian in my actions not just in faith and in words.

So, I will start out by acknowledging that today is Good Friday of the Holy Week and that this commemorates the Friday or Passover that Jesus Christ was crucified by the Roman’s of Jerusalem at the behest of the Jewish Pharisees and Sadducees. Men who ostensibly saw Jesus of Nazareth as a threat to their temporal power base only because there is no way, in my opinion,  they had any spiritual currency in heaven that the Nazarene threatened. The Pharisees, Sadducees and Romans were nothing more than thugs who wielded threats, fear, and nothing more. What I find interesting, though it comes as no surprise, that the moral descendants of these men and women still roam and still seem to firmly hold the reigns of temporal powers on earth. What can I do but pray for them and move on.

Following up on last weeks comment regarding the price of oil being set by the British and Brent Crude oil pricing it seems that West Texas Intermediate oil has now surpassed Brent Crude in price. Evidently, this because oil from the United States can still be pumped and delivered whereas British crude cannot. Speaking of which, how come North Sea oil is not able to replace the loss of crude delivered through the Strait of Hormuz? Is because there is not enough capacity, the British and Europeans have relied on their bully boy (the United States) for so long that they no longer have the ability to project power, is it because they cannot rape the Russians for her energy or any number of self sabotaging actions over the preceding decades that have led to this moment? Yes, I am paying more for fuel but at least the money is being spent to producers in the United States and not being sent to self serving pompous perfumed princesses in London, Brussels or Riyadh. Now, I just hope the administration stays out of the way of the alternate energy industry in addition to allowing the fossil fuel industry to flourish. We have a golden opportunity for innovation as a result of necessity.

Pam Bondi is no longer the Attorney General of the United States and, of course, we will probably never really know why. I can speculate it is because her Department of Justice (DOJ) was not aggressive enough pursuing the release of the Epstein Files, the perpetrators of the Ukraine hoax against the President, and or any number of referrals out of Congress. What I can hope and pray for is that under the next Attorney General the DOJ will be more aggressive and at least make an attempt to balance the scales of Justicia.

General Randy A. George is out as the Army Chief of Staff and I sit back trying to make sense out of all the chatter around his forced early retirement and the manner in which it happened. First, the President has every right to fire a Chief of Staff in his duties as the Commander in Chief. There need not be anything more said. It happens and it will not be the last time it happens and all one has to do is ask the ghost of General Douglas MacArthur while the Korean War was raging. So all of this chatter about letting him go in the midst of military operations is bunk and noise. It happens so grow up and realize that this President, whether you like it or not has his own agenda, and is within his rights to fire and hire in the military within prescribed limits. Secondly, I learned that General George oversaw the reduction of the US Merchant Marine Preposition Forces, the reduction of Engineering units across the Army and Navy, and the Merchant Marines, and US Army watercraft funding. Considering the previous administration’s attitude towards the military and that General George stayed in the military and quite possibly made rank it would not surprise me if this is true. Regardless, he did not stand up to the Biden Administration’s unlawful COVID injection mandates and so it is really difficult for me to feel sorry for him or the other Generals who were fired this week if only for the COVID issue alone.

Lastly, the Conservative Constitutionalist would like wish everyone a blessed Good Friday, Holy Saturday and most especially Easter.

God bless America and all her citizens and residents, no matter whether they are enemies, not enemies or somewhere between. Additionally, forgive me for my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me.
