Random Musings on Current Events 5.30.25

Once again it is time for some Random Musings On Current Events from the mind of a quiet, unassuming (at least in my own opinion) person observing the ramblings, rumblings, rants and revelations in the media from behind the front lines of a purple state. I present these ramblings, rumblings, rants and revelations in a sort of stream of conscious journal format and, yes, there may be some sarcasm thrown in.

Once again it has been two weeks since I last posted any rumblings, ramblings, and rants, however, if you are one of the few who read my writings you knew that it would be two weeks and so here, I go.

I read an interesting article in which the US Social Security system could still actually be saved, however, it would require some hard decisions and the sooner the better that these decisions be made the less painful the decision would be. This considering the system has a looming insolvency issue in about seven years. Do I believe the politicians in Washington D.C. will make any of the hard decisions required to save Social Security for me and my generation of Gen Xers? No, I do not believe they will because the politicians are far too short sighted and only seem to be worried about their next elections to continue their abilities to live off of the system.

South African refugees seems to have become a hot topic in the last couple of weeks in the main stream. Well it is about time as I have been aware of gun battles etc. happening in South Africa as the government and others have been trying to force the white Afrikaners off of their lands. First, was apartheid, right? I will answer absolutely no. However, does two wrongs make a right? Another time I will answer no. It seems the South African government is taking out both sides when they claim not to be part of a genocide while at the same time they are allowing for the repatriation of white owned farms. Something is up down there and I do not think the memory of Nelson Mandela and the Springboks are going to hold the South African society together this time. There is trouble brewing and I have to wonder if there might be foreign agent or two or however many financing and stirring up the radicals in that nation?

Elias Rodriquez has been charged with the murder of the two Israelis in Washington D.C. last week. A man with ties to Party for Socialism and Liberation and who knows what other organizations is accused of murdering two Israelis in cold blood. One has to wonder what or who was really behind this man. Regardless, my thoughts and prayers go out to the two victims and their families.

There have been many other things that I have worked on, explored, and dealt with the past two weeks but they are too personal to mention on line. Until next time, happy rumblings and ramblings.

God bless America and all her citizens and residents, no matter whether they are enemies, not enemies or somewhere between. Additionally, forgive me for my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me.

It has been two weeks since I have posted any of my rumblings, rambling, rants, and musings because, quite honestly, I have been too busy and deep into projects. Projects that have demanded my full focus, including the not paying attention of too many so called current events being pushed in the media. Not only that I have barely had time to listen to my favorite podcasts for the same reason. I will say also that I do not normally comment on the podcasts that I listen to because they are much more focused, in depth, and certainly too cutting edge to merely ramble about. I will also not be posting next week because I will be finishing up a project started last fall that will require my full attention.

It appears Jake Tapper and his crowd are ready to throw Senator Fetterman under the bus because of his “cognitive decline” or whatever they are calling it this week. This, despite what I understand, has been Senator Fetterman’s very good recovery from his stroke during the weeks leading up to his election. Of course Jake Tapper’s recently written book about Joe Biden’s decline is the works of a self-serving former sycophant of Joe Biden who claims not to have known about the former president’s mental state when it was obvious to even the most casual observer. Personally, and I have to agree with the gentleman’s post that I read alerting me to this, I think Senator Fetterman’s cognitive decline as detailed by the legacy MSM media is that Senator Fetterman is a free thinking man who comes to his own conclusions and is guilty of not keeping to the left wing ideological Democrat party line.

I now have had two people tell me about former FBI Director James Comey’s text, tweet, or whatever it was, posting of the code 86-47 which in this case could mean murder. You have got to be kidding me that a former head of what is advertised as the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency did not know what this meant? I do understand that to be 86’ed can also mean banned from entering a premise so there is some wiggle room. However, in my mind, if he did not know then it explains the utter incompetence of the FBI and how politicized it has become at the expense of true law enforcement or it publicly shows the level or arrogance James Comey has for me and the rest of the average everyday American. Perhaps, it just provides evidence of both. Regardless, I certainly hope the Secret Service is investigating this and that any violation of law is referred to the Depart of Justice. Also, if referred that now civilian Mr. Comey is treated no differently than any other American who faces the charges. I am tired of the two tiered justice system and, if guilty, no one should be treated differently than anyone else, especially if they once held a high position in the District of Columbia.

I am not even going to comment on President Trump’s trip to the UAE other than to say I am going to need to take some time to catch up. As I said I have been busy and it seems that, as is typical with President Trump, there was a lot going on that was made public. Who knows what was happening behind the scenes?

I have to admit that I have been uncomfortable with Senator Lee in the past, especially with his support of big tech and their locating of major data centers to Utah. However, I have been quite impressed with the Senator’s support of the Trump agenda, in general. I get that no one is going to agree with me on every issue but what I respect is someone who stands for something and, though the verdict is still out on Senator Lee in my mind, he certainly is gaining points along with Senator Fetterman.

Best of luck to interim US Attorney Jeanine Pirro.

Is anyone else watching professional sports? I for one am not watching any professional baseball this year along with any of the Nike Basketball Association playoffs. I have to admit that I am not missing any of it. I am not missing any of the never ending commercials punctuated by some competition. I certainly do not miss a competition between millionaires who are being protected and who push the brands that they represent.

God bless America and all her citizens and residents, no matter whether they are enemies, not enemies or somewhere between. Additionally, forgive me for my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me.

I had to laugh when I saw a headline about Trump having the all-time lowest first 100 day approval rating, or something to that effect. It caught my eye because this has not been my experience and after the blathering about Trump and how unpopular he is along with some other nonsense I got to what I was looking for. The poll was sponsored by ABC News, The Washington Post, and Ipsos. At that point I yawned and realized the piece was nothing more than leftist globalist propaganda.

It seems the evidence is growing that the collision between the US Army Blackhawk helicopter and the commuter plane over the Potomac River several months ago was the result of the helicopter’s pilot error. I just have to wonder what was going on in her mind and in the cockpit which we will never truly know. May everyone’s souls who perished in that disaster rest in peace.

Oh my goodness Bezinga and Yahoo reported that the International Monetary Fund and the US Bureau of Economic Analysis are saying that California now has the 4th largest economy in the world!!! Of course, California governor Newsom made sure to announce this and I am quite certain that he is taking credit for this. Yet again, however, I have to question the source and means by which this metric was derived? I question this because though California may have the fourth largest economy in the world how come it has a large homeless problem? Why is there great economic disparity between the haves and the have nots? Why is industry leaving the state and yet it still goes up in terms of its economic size? How can it have a large economy when it cannot even manage its electrical infrastructure grid and the forests that surround it? Why can’t this state complete infrastructure programs on time and on budget. No, this article did not pass the smell test and is yet another article reeking of propaganda from a state full of corruption.

The jobs report came out and beat expectations despite the shrinking of government jobs. It seems that around 90% of the jobs created came out of the private sector, which to me is good news. Now, let’s cut the corruption in California as well and see what really happens with its economy and allow its middle class to flourish instead of its continual decline into a petty third world oligarchy.
